MNG Strategia was built on a straightforward idea: that business owners benefit from an advisor who stays close to their business throughout the year, not just at reporting deadlines.
Martien works with founder-led and owner-managed businesses across professional services, healthcare, property, and digital sectors. His work focuses on bringing clarity to financial positions, structuring tax more deliberately, and supporting decisions as businesses grow.
His approach combines technical accounting and tax expertise with a practical, commercially aware perspective, focusing more on helping clients understand what their numbers mean for what comes next.

How He Works
Martien works with a limited number of clients so that each relationship remains consistent and involved. The aim is not to be reactive, but to stay close enough to the business that financial input is available when decisions are being made, not after.

A founder-led business generating £200k in turnover engaged us with a long-term goal of building toward a sale. Over five years, we structured the finances, managed tax positioning, and supported the key decisions that shaped the business’s growth. The business was sold for £1.42m.

Return to Profitability: Turnaround
A business carrying a £40k annual loss needed more than better accounting. We undertook a structured review of costs, organisational design, and financial reporting. Within three years, the business was generating over £65k in profit, a turnaround of more than £105k in annual position.

£150k Resolved
Tax Dispute Resolution: HMRC
A founder-led business became subject to a tax investigation, resulting in a disputed liability of £150k. We led the full response, reviewing the position, structuring the technical argument, and managing all communication with HMRC directly. The dispute was resolved in the client’s favour.
